π Hints and Tips
π Fight weaker foes to heal
Find yourself in a fight you can't seem to win? Break off mid-combat to heal by killing some nearby weaker wildlife and you might just turn the fight in your favour. Mice make for ideal pick-me-ups as they won't fight back and are found almost everywhere!
π Use "B" to interact
Violence isn't your only option! Press the "B" button to interact in a variety of situations such as when stood in front of a grave, to inspect mysterious stone pedestals, to talk to guards, or to speak with residents through the doors of their homes - some folks may even offer you assistance on your quest!
πβπ¦Ί Assist options are available
There are various assist options that can be enabled from the options menu on the title screen. Double damage, invincibility, an optional hints system and crank usage can all be toggled from the options menu. You can also change gameplay style between real time and turn based!

Pastor Bo has hidden Easter eggs all across the plains! Find all eight eggs to earn the special "Egg Collector" award. Don't forget to talk to the pastor in his house in the village to the south-east!
Halloween (October 29th - November 2nd)
Farmer Ed needs your help smashing all of the pumpkins that have sprouted in the fields! Smash all six pumpkins to earn the special "Spooky Warrior" award. Don't forget to talk to the farmer in his house in the village to the north-west!
Christmas (December 23rd - December 27th)
Over the festive period some of the castle soldiers take a break as a Christmas tree is erected in the castle courtyard and decorated with lights! Share the holiday spirit by delivering the four presents placed around the tree to their intended recipients across all four regions of the world. After delivering the final gift you will earn the special "Holiday Hero" award.
Events are triggered when launching the game by checking the Playdate's system clock.
π¬ Frequently Asked Questions
I'm lost! What is my objective?
The lord of the castle waits for you in the topmost tower as you seek revenge for past wrongs wrought. Your quest may take you in many different directions but all roads lead to that final fortress! In other words, keep exploring and you'll eventually reach your goal. If you're unsure how to progress try to stick to areas where you can defeat the nearby enemies to earn experience. Once you've levelled up a few times and the enemies become easier to kill (and you gain less experience from doing so) it's probably time to move on!
Help! I keep dying, what should I do?
Death comes quickly in the world of Lolife, but do not be disheartened! On death you will lose any experience earned towards your next level so try to fight against weaker enemies you know you can beat, even if the experience you earn is less. Once you bank your next level you can then try exploring further into the world and challenging tougher foes. If you're still struggling there are several assist options that can be enabled, or you might find it easier to play in turn based mode instead of real time. It's also possible to beat the game without fighting at all, if that's more your style!
How do I get past the bridge guards?
There's always more than one way to get past an obstacle in Lolife! You can try baiting the guards into chasing you then dashing across the bridge, talking to the guards and figuring out a peaceful solution, or you might have better luck searching for an alternate route entirely. Of course levelling up until you are strong enough to defeat the guards in a straight fight is also an option, but it's not the only one!
Is any progress shared across save slots?
There are three separate save slots but awards, codex and ranks progression is shared across all playthroughs. It is not possible to unlock all awards (or ranks) in a single playthrough. Awards, codex and ranks progression does not effect gameplay.
What are the requirements for all ranks?
A ranking is awarded each time you beat the game and the rank awarded depends on several factors including time taken, total deaths, and final level. The best ranks also require you to not have enabled certain assist options or to have used certain cheat codes that make the game easier. All rank requirements will eventually be explained in the official walkthrough, but until then why not try working out the different rank requirements with other players?
